Its modified so its able to load backups. Also comes with a special edition gears of war skin and face plate, which they only made 1000 worldwide. downloading means

h ago we found out about the background downloading to be added to the Play
Station 3 features, but when was still unknown. Last week Sony confirmed it to be in the 1.60 firmware. For the people who don't know, background downloading means that you can do other stuff while downloading a demo or a trailer. For a long time there were rumours you wouldn't be able to play games while downloading on the background. Today Sony confirmed you will be able to play games while downloading content. This means you will be able to queue up to 6 pieces of content from the PlayStation Store, while doing other things on your PlayStation 3.
